DAY TWO:
Very few ppl turned up today,a random head count resulted in 70 odd ppl,scared to do it again,I didn't make another attempt.
The day started off with most of them who intended to come over to the college missing their bus,me being a part of it,How I got to the campus,on time is a huge story in itself,and I can make a series of new threads on it but that’s totally irrelevant as of now…
The buses started off close to 20min early than they were supposed to and very few ppl knew about it,most of the buses had around 20 odd ppl in them ,but the least count was in the Narayanaguda bus which had 10 odd ppl.
FLAG HOISTING:
The flag was hoisted by the director,Dr.Sanjay,and it was followed up with a speech by the director of admissions,Prof.Koteshwar Rao garu,but the thing is neither of their speeches held any water for ppl like,me they very seriously good in terms of value and Republic day motivation content but they didn't touch any points with respect to GITAM,unlike on the last occasion i.e,Independence Day,when they did stress a little on GITAM hyd,this time around I was all ears to catch anything which can give me some kinda of a base to work a SCOOP!! upon,but heck,it didn't go my way…
FACULTY VS. STUDENTS:
This was a seriously good attempt by the faculty,and especially the director,for heavens sake the director hit a Six in Timma Reddy’s bowling(The captain of the students team,apparently),and Heck he stayed on filed for most part of the match,and NO!!!He didn't play in his regular trademark Pink shirt ka attire,but a sportive one lol..!!
The faculty put on board 91 runs at the end of 15 overs,with close to 30 runs being give away to them as extras,the scoreboard was under heavy fire to make sure that the Faculty would reach a 100,a person who was part of the scoreboard,confesses,playfully”The management tried to bribe us to let them reach 100!!!”,and he did agree that Math used in noting the score wasn’t a fair one either,apparently the management did get away on plenty of occasions,but heck When the director is on field hardly anyone would wanna let them see lose..!!
The worst part was that the students had a hard time,trying to chase down the target the match in the second inning's was “sportily”,ruled by the CSE guys not on field but heck at the “commentary box”,they agree it was fun giving out commentary and quite a few ppl agreed to it..!!!
Highlights:
- Rudraram end/GITAM library end!
- Wind blowing from workshop end towards east Rudraram.
- Plenty of other dumb stuff!!!!
The students team won the match with just one wicket in had .
VOLLEYBALL MATCH:
there were no players,is their any question of the match being played..??
“If you still don’t get it ,you gotta be dumb!”
Nope..!!
EMPTY BUSES:
There were three buses in use when the college closed up for the day,One Narayanguda bus,with Four ppl on board,including the driver Umesh bhaiya.The ameerpet/Kukatpally bus which had about 15 odd ppl,and last but not the least L.B.Nagar bus with around 10 odd ppl on board.
DAY TWO:
It was fun!!!seriously,never heard that a patriotic event could be such a hell lot of fun,even when there are only around 50 odd ppl on campus!!!
