This post comes pretty late,considering that the college functions only half a day(Read One hr less),on a Saturday.
That's because today,has been filled with all kinda of good stuff,with the campus radiating joy,in all the directions,not that I can actually feel,it but it just reciprocated in my life a couple of mins back,that’s what kept me from writing this post any earlier,Come on I have been waiting for this thing to happen for ages…
Anyways coming back to today's,post,I am pretty sure most of the GITAMites out there are tired,and have probably hit the bed as of now,But here comes the Nocturnal Guy,ready to file the first totally joyful day of the Second sem(As I see it,Period!)..
BALAJI STRIKES:
You got it right,in the last post,I did mention that IT and EEE were short on the phy faculty,and Balaji did take his frustration out on the students,first he took the first period for IT yesterday,and he pissed them off big time with his “Lab” attitude.Pity you guys,hard times ahead..
EEE “BOYCOTTS”:
Well it wasn't a boycott,as such,it was just an unanimous decision among the boys,to bunk all the periods on the pretext of preparations for the sports meet,and close to 75% of the EEE guys were on the ground,all through the day,the GROUND was never empty today,till the buses moved on..
So what all did we lot do today???
SPORTS SESSION:
Two cricket matches,next to each other,with each branch getting the better of the other,a ECE dominated Volleyball session on the boys front,like wise on the girls too,A football match,which had only a max of 10-12 ppl,it was pushed away from the main ground in order to make space for the two simultaneous cricket matches!
Summary of the sports session
- Football
- Cricket
- Volleyball
- parallel Indoor games.
Most of the students were on the ground from early in the morning,but Heck once the Afternoon session kicked in their was no stopping by 2:00’ odd,close to 70% of the students were divided into various sports group,and the campus ground were on a rampage, the first instance of the grounds being under total student occupation,being this one(To my knowledge).
BUNKING:
Everyone was on ground,why should we be any different..???This was the phrase on every CSE and It wale,today,ECE lot,bunked the OOPS period..(OOPS!!!),in the post lunch session,and Nikitha maam,was apparently pissed,(Oh to hell with being pissed!!!)they had a sports after that,so it was a double dhamaka,but heck IT was stuck up in the OOPS lab and it couldn't do much of ground zero activity,unlike the rest.
CSE,had an English lab session,but Chandra shekar Murthy was easy to convince,but even before ppl could actually convince,there were ppl rushing out out of every possible orifice of the classroom,not leaving the now popular exit-Windows alone..But then Chandu ji,did agree for letting us off and we joined the Bandwagon too..!!!
WATER CRISIS:
The college,as any other institution only stores on hand the required number of water cans,the regular consumption never varies,to such an extent that we are left in a crisis.
But today,it was different,no,this wasn't a regular Saturday,it was a sporting day,now the moment you finish the word sport,you start off with Water,yeah!!! The best gift to mankind,Water,the only thing which can cool you off after a tough game,be it either cricket or football,but then,this special “sporting day”,when most of the students were actively engaged in some sport or the other,the campus was sure to require additional cans of water,but heck these additional can’s were never expected to be used,the common water sources ,at the reception dried up very quickly,ECE hand every can having to be replaced in the next 15min.
15 Mins!!!
15 mins,is a long,time if you have been deprived of water and been in the hot sun,playing hard for over two hours!!!
SOLUTION:
Well,the students invariably had to barge into the Staffrooms to quench their thirst,and some went over to the MBA’s classroom,where we have another source,apparently the can’s at the security room,were being drained too..!!!
Whatever may happen the next Saturday,i would recommend the management to be armed with plenty of water cans,this sporting fever is in no hurry to die down..
Btw,it wasn't a crisis as such,just unprecedented demand for Water..:P
CANTEEN RESOLVED!!!

The new canteen wala,came in a Maruthi Versa yesterday,and today in a Santro!!
Yesterday,we apaprently had,three Tiffin's, Poori, Upma, Pullihora,ala Lemon rice.
The new canteen management is all set to ambush the students,yesterday being its first working day,we were in for a shock,not many ventured in,but those who did came back pretty pleased,and this made a beeline to the canteen today.
The breakfast for today was Poori,mam mamiya!,what an excellent poori,compared to the previous poori’s we had on campus this was light years away!!!
Same with the Lunch,the rice served was out of regular Rudraram,standards…
A new menu coming up next week,and the New guy,wants a weeks time to get back the regular snack and stuff,my advice,even if he charges more,No ones gonna mind,much,after all we wouldn't mind paying for quality food!!

Is the canteen issue finally resolved..???
Not necessarily,its might just be the sliver lining of a rusted necklace(PJ,i agree!!) If this new guys,keeps upto his word,atleast makes 70% of what he currently promises to do,then this issue wil lbe lcosed,that 30%,we will leave it for the Next sem..
