After a very long,hiatus,the most loved game on campus is back with a bang!!!!you got it,right ,Football finally finds it way into GITAM,after many attempts by the students to get the management to provide football’s,the students finally decided to act,and they did!!!
A group of CSE ppl,got their own football back,after having the stores in charge inflate the ball(Mr.Balu),in the Fourth period,things turned for good,the ball was going all over the campus,and everyone wanted to borrow,it the football sessions didn't stop once it started,it went on all through the afternoon session,ala,Lunch,last period(IT),after the classes,and prior to the buses starting off on the journey!!
Was it fun???
Of course!!!It caught on pretty well,and this is going to continue,each and everyday ,at Lunch and after the last period!!
SPORTS MEET:
The college,is all set to host another sports meet,on the lines of the one hosted prior to Aug 15th,Independence Day,on the occasion of Republic Day.
The events are spread over two days,i.e,Monday and Tuesday(25th,26th),with the major sports being,
- Cricket
- Volleyball
- Throwball
- Ring ball
- T.T
- Chess(in process,it was on initially,but cancelled at a later stage hope to see it soon!)
- Caroms
INDUSTRIAL TOURS:
The management as mention in the the earlier post,is all set to be bullish on the seminars,Industrial Tours front,and the estimate of 10 Industrial tours this sem,has been revised to Eight,due to the reduce in the number of working days,THE MAXIMUM being Eight and the minimum,being Four.
As yet the dates haven't been officially,declared but sources,confirm that next week there is going to be an Industrial Tour,unless the “T” factor,affects them,to Bolaram,a couple of mins drive away from Miyapur,but heck the management is tight lipped on the actual details of the trip or the company the students are going to visit.
WORKSHOP/SEMINAR-ENGLISH :
This particular news on the seminar,was on hold,for the SCOOP!! section,on this blog,but heck,due to the announcement by Madhavi maam,I cant do the SCOOP!!,anymore!Anyways,scoop or not,here are the apparent details of the workshop,
The English workshop is being conducted by Visu International on Communication skills(reportedly),next Saturday,i.e,30th of Jan.
Anymore seminars or workshops,coming up???
The way the management is going,and the closed door to the staffroom,implies very few details come out into the open,till i find some other source for information,which can counter the balance with respect to the high profile information coming from the Staffroom,I will just have to rely on things the lecturers give out in the classes and speculate on them!
PHY TROUBLE - ECE/IT:
The above mentioned branches haven’t had a single productive Phy period in this Semester,due to the absence of the regular faculty,Srivani maam,but its goona be ages before she bounces back onto the campus,till then the management has gotta find a way to balance her absence.
The worst part is that,the management is apparently unable to find a temporary replacement,the other phy faculty,being engaged in the other two branches,ECE/CSE and the lab sessions for CSE/IT,this guy,Balaji sir,is going bonkers,with the heavy work,and being the first Year coordinator doesn't help him much,it just adds to the burden,he is in no way to handle the extra classes!
And meanwhile as the “T” agitation,begins to gain lost ground again,its just an implication that the college is going to be closed ,on a very short notice,like on this Tuesday,the students simply cant bear it any longer,the working days being less,implies the new faculty will have to rush to all the chapters,not that we care(as far as most of us are concerned),We just want the chapters ,and the subject to be dealt physically ,some person teaches something,imporves our confidence a lot,need not necessarily be a high profile faculty!
NEW EQUIPMENT FOR SPORTS:
The management is all set to acquire,new sports equipment for the sports meet,they must have arrived at the campus by now,they were still in transit when the last report on them arriving,came over!
Its not much,its just a couple of balls(excluding footballs),and a air pump machine,for the college sports room,TT bats,unconfirmed reports,indicate the arrival of a new TT table,but it just remains to see ,if this is indeed true.
AUDITIONS ON:
The auditions for the the anchoring post,for various college functions,and the likes of it,is currently,on ECE/CSE,had them on today,with the participants being through a not so rigorous test,for the post,and most of the others claiming,that they got little time to prepare,but the widespread remarks,is that the announcement never reached most of them,and the details of the auditions have never been made,clear,ala,it was never on the notice board,either!
All those interested from the IT/EEE stream,can register their names with Madhavi maam,or Chandra shekar sir(yes that,the name of your English faculty,EEE guys!),the auditions are on at the conference hall,wishing all you aspiring anchors ,give your best!!!
IS THE COLLEGE ON TOMORROW??
The only question,with no answer as yet,but as far as the information with regard to this matter,most of the regular college,are functioning half a day,but if GITAM does decide to go in for Half a day,its inevitable to spend more time in travel than on campus :P,there are quite a few college,which did declare a holiday tomorrow,waiting for the news to strike in,and when it does come,will update it possibly on the scroll!!
So as of now,the college is on tomorrow!!

Me??I am very happy blogging,and as far as I am concerned,the identity is not seriously necessary,unless you are planning to bash me up,these little subtle controversies over the ownership are getting me plenty of hits too.lol.!!
