Mourning….DAY:10/02/2010

One of the civil Engg who was working on the construction of the campus and who also happens to be the husband of the receptionist,is no more,not many students  know of his existence but a couple of ppl did meet him when they decided to explore the campus,while they were bunking a couple of periods..

The death apparently,occurred when this particular person ramped his two wheeler into the divider,and ended up losing his life,the situation of the receptionist(Who happens to be an extremely sweet person!!!),is under wraps rumours have it that she is injured too,but the rumour mills can go up to any extent…

Rest In Peace:Civil Engg(No clue of his name,when we do get it will upload.)

SPECIAL NOTE:

One striking thing of today’s events was the managements attitude,I seriously bow to them,everyone(Including Balaji,not bear today),the ease with which they decided to let the college be shut today,when the person in question was not even a part of the faculty,but just part of the construction team,not many institutes consider this to be a valid reason to declare a mourning day,but this institute which has been in being for just 7 odd months,has proved itself to everyone,what stands behind the basic principles of GITAM,is simply evident from today’s  events...

The Classes:

There was hardly anything on today,most of the faculty didn’t turn up for the classes for less than 2hrs,after the first two periods finished,the management decided to call it a day,when all the campus,went quite for the peace of the called sole at around 11:10 odd,for two mins,I don't take any pride in doing this,but this was the first mourning of the campus..

The buses started off from the campus,at around 11:30 odd…

Plenty of the students went out for movies,and entertaining stuff like that,but ppl,just  a reminder we were given a day off for mourning,not pointing you out,that what any teenager would have done..

ending this particular post on a very sad note..

I am extremely moved over the incident,and the promotions event of this blog didn't pull off well either,it was a disaster,attempting again in a couple of days..
