Update:
This post was prepared during the first academic year(2009-,April,2010),and the recent updates are not taken into consideration.
We will post the latest campus update,once the campus construction is completed .

The Campus,spread over 10 acres of land and soon to be expanded over to 45 acres(Claimed),currently consist of one main building,A workshop,A canteen,two volleyball courts While the following are under construction as of now,

• New Workshop
• New canteen structure
• Hostels

MAIN BUILIDNG:

The main building consist of 3 floors,a cellar and three new floors which are currently under construction.

 

The cellar consist of the library,The AutoCAD lab,Computer lab,Eng lab(each with 66 pc's),and a Digital Library with around the clock internet facility (Facebook,Orkut,BlogSpot and WordPress is blocked too!!)

THE LIBRARY:

    

THE READING ROOM: 

  

The Reading room right adjacent to the library is open for access all through the day.Do observe the use of plastics chairs,we seriously deserve decent swivels for the fees we are paying.

THE CONFERENCE HALL:

THE GROUND FLOOR:

The ground floor consists of only four classrooms,and is mainly an administrative floor,with the Staff rooms,HOD's rooms,Accounts section,Directors office,and other dumb heads,ala top brass of the management are present in this floor,along with the Four classrooms currently occupied by the B.tech stream.

THE FIRST FLOOR:

 

The first floor,ala,the MBA floor,in the campus lingo,is just that,there are boards which read "Boys waiting hall", "Girls waiting hall",e.t,c but behind these closed doors are just empty rooms,which we have long lost access to,Its a worthless cheap trip by the management,the  same case with the Doctors room.

But a point worth to mention is that the washrooms in this floor happen to be the students favourite,usually some break away groups from B.tech can be seen utilizing these wash rooms too..:P

THE INDOOR GAMES ROOM:

Carom boards,and TT tables,that is all we have in this room,situated in the Second floor,the sports room is seriously under,rather unequipped to even cater to the current strength of 200+ students

THE MBA CLASSROOM:

 

The Best place to have been in,that the tag this room carries,the epic centre of Kibbutz'10,and the thinking room from where all the good creative ideas emerged from ,it is in this four walled room that most of the important decision with respect to Kibbutz'10 have been taken,,thought the last word and the final decision prior to the weeks leading upto the fest took place in Satish bhiayya's cabin,But with Kibbutz'10 closing up onto us,this was the place where the last minute preparations,major hurdles were all cleared from..

The worth place,The place loved by most of the B.tech students too,mostly cause they are immune to the B.tech faculty,particular some members of the faculty :)

WORKSHOP:

The workshop,forms an integral part of any B.tech persons life,be it for a person part of gitam or not,at some point of time a person pursuing B.tech has to enter the Workshop,more so in the first year,and GITAM University Hyderabad is no different..

The Workshop comprises of various labs,which are :

• Chemistry Lab
• E/E Workshop
• Phy lab
• Instruments Room
• A couple of empty rooms

PHYSICS LAB:

The place,we have all been in,and most of us are happy to be done visiting this place,except those unlucky few who have to go back for their Externals.

The Phy lab,modestly adequate infrastructure and it is headed by the current first year coordinator,Dr.Balaji Rao,touted by the students to be a haunted place,I prefer not to write anything more about it,after all Phy has never been a favourite of mine :)

DARK ROOM:

 

That kinda of sums up the workshop!

SPORTS/GROUNDS:

And now,we move forward into the Sports arena,neither are there any good sports facilities nor do we posses any kinda of a P.T forget about coaches,Neither do we have decent sport equipment available,The campus looks pretty decent for one which just admitted its current batch,But sports are seriously under looked,and they lie in a ruin,With the equipment we currently have it can't even sport the active participation of 50 odd members at a time forget about 200 members.

• Volleyballs
• Throw balls
• Cricket equipment
• Chess
• T.T(Two tables)

And that kind of ends the list,its an exhaustive one,and if you are wondering where did the Footballs go to,Them trust me we have nothing of that sort on campus,We do have some kinda of minor support for it but,the management has decided to push in the funds for cricket(Apparently),and once again,The Beautiful sport has been ignored,and left to lie in ruins.

A very disappointing thing,and I hope the management pulls up its socks soon!

SECURITY:

 

The  day  invariably starts and ends here,The GATE,its where we come in and go out from(Most of the time given that students have known to bunk via the Windows and run into the fields,via the Construction Zone)it did happen before and its bound to happen before,and we all know that a closed gate isn't a barrier :)

The security present is quite a good one,and pretty efficient at their Job,They are polite and extremely sweet,and definitely not helpful if you wanna bunk,They do the job well and we all love them...

A Personal message 500 hits.

    These 300 hits came up in less than 15 odd days since this blog received the 200 hits,there have been close to ten odd entries since the 200,But there is something which I can’t make up for,I haven't been an integral part of GITAM,neither have I seen the campus in flesh as yet,I just took over the operations of this blog,only cause I had a personal affection to a very good friend of mine in GITAM(most of you already know,that this blog is registered and operated on his ID),Not to put a fine point it,he does contribute,but not entirely,and since I cant give a first hand report and I am  bound to miss plenty of things around,cause I cant actually visualise everything feed into my head,while the other blog, remains to be in the total control of the above mentioned person this blog,fluctuates a lot,its a dual-author blog but the only difference is we use the same account instead of two different this gives us more flexibility,and once I am done  I am pretty sure he will carry over,but as of now(this decision is considerably influenced by the dumb results..:P),this blog is mostly mine,and any complaints or views can be mailed to paz.inbox@gmail.com ,but this is totally irrelevant to the general public ,and GITAMites,I think as long as this blog is run efficiently and in a decent manner you wouldn't have a problem as to who actually runs it,this post is in view of the recent emails which implied that,I haven't been able to project a totally unbiased view in some posts,but that's invariably due to my inability to do so,same applies to the pictures,I cant upload pics,As I don't posses the I resources' to do,until then the monotony of the text will continue…

NOTE:

And I wanted to stress the point that the stat counter is basically only for me to understand and to feel a sense of little pride(as every human is allowed to an extent),but not to make it the de facto of this blog,cause the way I see it; 500 is just the beginning,I haven't set any particular  xxxxx number of hits as my target,but I did lock upon a time frame of a minimum 6 months before this blog may eventually die or grow popular,cause this blog is under plenty of stress and its still competing for Time along with my journals,as long i don't getting any viable option to accommodate both,this may eventually have to cut down its operations,but rest assured 6 months is guaranteed,and i have got addicted to blogging,so I may just cut down the number of post rather than totally stop it….

So wishing all my readers out there(If any!!),a very happy and colourful   Pongal ,Sankranthi irrespective of whether you are of Telangana or Andhra origin,but considering you are Indian enough….

The Great Wall of Rudraram,Gives way…..

(Note:thought I start with The great wall of China,I am not talking history on this post,Happy reading!!)

Well this is one hell of a post,waiting to come,but due to various constrains I just couldn't get the time to post this,how much ever I try its pretty hard attending the college,and maintaining my journals(first priority),and various other odd chores,it was hard to squeeze in this blog,added to that spending close to around 7 hrs in the campus,and 4 odd in the bus,you get to watch and observe plenty of things and its simply not possible(at least now),to turn them all into words,something is bound to be left out and at times something substantial too….Well this is the chota intro to this outlandish move by the management,and if you think this post is extraneous,then think again!!!

THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA:

Well,I seriously don't need to elaborate on this particular wonder,but then why in the world am I referring to it???Simple,I want to draw a very weird  comparison with respect to the Chinese wall,and the Rudraram wall…

THE RUDRARAM CONNECTION:

The Chinese wall was intact a very long time and its a know fact that some of it has been subject to graffiti and vandalism too,ala,it cracked up at parts too,but the wall,I am referring to here is the  University ka compound wall,which along with the solar fencing(still doesn't work,tried and tested,no dire consequences!),prevents the students from jumping over the wall and bunk college,(everyone knows,its wiser to bunk than coming to the college and then bunk)evry thing was perfect and the Wall served its purpose very diligently till…the management revoked…..

THE CONSTRUCTION!!!!

Well,yeah the wall had to be pulled down at a particular segment,right next to the 1st window of the CSE classroom(203) and the last(or 2nd)window of the ECE classroom(204),the windows of our classroom are pretty large,and a person on not so decent dimensions can easily move out of the class and out into Rudraram,if not for the Wall,but now that the construction is bound to move in a fast paced phase,without any disturbance to the students;leaving the management with no other option but having to pull down a considerable segment of the wall,this mine back entrance is to facilitate easy moving of construction equipment,cement mixers,land movers,and what not into the campus without having to use the main entrance nor making their presence felt by the students(Who always wait for reasons to point out the management..:P),but then the fact is that this crack in the wall considerably reduces your chance to bunk than usual,normally you would just have to endure the hardships of having to go over the wall ,but now with this new entrance,the land right behind the cracked up wall,upto the road is barricaded with fencing leaving out gap for trucks to come in,and we cant use this way either as a GUARD is posted at this gap too..(F**K!!),so even if we do jump over the canteen wall and escape this guard is sure to spot us,(not that we care:P)…

So as  long as the fenced wiring exists whether  to prevent bunking or for security reasons(Heck there's plenty of stuff in  the campus which can be nicked and sold off for a good sum..:P)ala reduce the chances of robberies from taking place,this new back gate doesn't prove any purpose for the students(except the apparent decrease in disturbance due to the construction),so everyone pining their hope on this new “loophole” of the Wall,rest assured you will just be  tempted to go out;but  under the circumstances we dont stand a chance ,but hey,will anyone actually try escaping from that hole in the wall before its constructed once again remains to be a puzzle.

Have we not been the first Batch,I bet we would have missed out surreal but nice stuff like these,which make it all the more interesting to come to the college,definitely not the classes,at least it holds good for me,we get to see some interesting developments,construction work,bull dozers,land movers in action,worth all the boring lectures put together,except Patrudu of course!!
