Editors Speak: 30,000 Hits!

Hey!!

Three long months!!

That is how long,LAGH took to get its 10,000 hits,to  reach 30,000 from 20,000.

But then the reasons,are a plenty for this disastrous performance(I aren't being modest),plagued by loads of problems,which included a forced shut down in July ,Click here.

And then the ownership issues,and dilution of powers,the blog,was virtually left to the wind and it was subject to some vandalism too,but later on ,we found the right set of juniors,who I must appreciate with respect to all their limitations,have come up with some activity,sure it took them quite some time to up their ante and  match the previous quality of LAGH,they are I am pleased to say,falling on the track,Regular updates won’t be an issues any more.

If you observe,We have published three new post in the last 24 hrs,and this trend will more or less continue.

INDEPENDENCE DAY:

Our initial target of re-launching LAGH on August 15th was not futile,but it was more of our mistake than external events,But this time around,LAGH will be geared up,with a re-vamped network and correspondents base,which we seek to strengthen during the Dusheera vacation(Which will be for 6-8 days).

With that,little bit of hope and loads of determination propelling us,this time,We are confident that,targets wont be missed,and LAGH will hit the BULL Eye without doubt.

REVIEW:

When,I look back at the progress made by LAGH in the past three month, it is miniscule compared to what it could have done .

There were only abut 10-20 posts,and of very little value,But behind the scene there were plenty of half-baked posts,which were waiting to be published but couldn't due to some quality issues.

Same,hold true for some other controversial posts,which were submitted for publishing but had to be held back keeping in view the controversies they might rake up.

I assume,that the new kids of the block like the GITAM ECE times, and gitam buddies might be able to do the controversial job better.

And,I would add that,the next time around,When we have a controversial post waiting,We would rather forward to one of the recent start-ups,than let the post rot :P

So even thought the progress on the blog,with respect to content has been pretty low,the contributors,and support base has been improving substantially.

SHUTTERBUGS:

If,there is one thing,which makes us at LAGH proud,then it will be ShutterBugs (Which for heavens sake is starving for inputs from readers!!).

It was a good initiative,a place to have all the pictures of GITAM University Hyderabad Campus to be in a dedicated place.e

Hope,the contributions pick up soon :)

Note: The official launch of ShutterBugs is still pending,We will have it updated and geared up for a post Dusheera launch :)

Freedom Zone :

I would like to thank the active participation of a particular Anonymous contributor,who was the reason for the recreation of the Freedom Zone ,And it kind of picked up well.

FORUMS!!

Well,yeah after the death of www.lifeatgitamhyd.webs.com ( Was  it ever alive ? :p),the birth of the Forums page took place.

We can take the Blog upto a certain extent in every direction possible,after that is is the responsibility of the user to see that the activity continues.

LAGH is here to provide a good platform for communication,and that is achieved through the Forums tab ,after that the it is the responsibility of the students of GITAM University Hyderabad to see that there is active participation possible,And We at LAGH wouldn't necessarily mind to see the initiatives ROT,since our major concern is the Blog :)

This hold true for the following initiatives:

We provided the platforms,it is up to you(You as in the readers),to use them if you need too :),Else we are fine with it ,as we don’t have anything to lose,if the above things turn out to be snubs.
