GAT-2010 NOTIFICATION..

The clock has struck 12,and the start of a new day,but today ought to be different from the rest,the notification is out for GAT 2010,The details are availabe right here on this blog,and also at  GITAM UNIVERSITY.

The notification has been delayed by a very huge time frame,due to the prolonged political turmoil in the state,but heck,its finally out here!

All you ppl out there ready to enter the Big Bad World of Engineering,ought to attempt GAT-2010,forget about how the institute is and the campus location,infrastructure,you have 5 odd months to think of it ,If you do crack GAT-2010(more on GAT 2010 later),so join the bandwagon and start applying!!

GITAM UNIVERSITY HYDERABAD CAMPUS :WIKIPEDIA

Before joining GITAM,the first thing I did was to check it up on Google,and the next stop was Wikipedia,as such Wikipedia didn’t have much content about GITAM when compared to the other educational institutions.

I strongly believe,that in order to reach the zenith and be on par with other deemed Universities(I am not going to name the other universities here,plz!)the students are supposed to put in their effort too(while the management reciprocates),we definitely cant have the management putting up GITAM on Wikipedia/Google earth/Googlemaps etc,its the students who take up the initiative world over,why should we be any different?so stop being rigid,start BLOGGING!!),we definitely deserve a better ,stand alone Wikipedia page,which can take in contributions from the Hyderabadi GITAMites,who have a first hand knowledge with respect to the campus,than someone from the Vizag campus,doing it for us,who may have never seen the Hyderabad campus in flesh.

Finally today,on the first of January ,2010 the stand alone  Wikipedia article,has been published any changes can be intimated to me,at my personal blogging account( paz.inbox@gmail.com ), or you can do it all by yourself by registering with Wikipedia,(its gonna be easy if you have a hands on experience with HTML and stuff).

As usual bear,with us before we can upload any pics onto the wiki article,requires hell lot of trouble to upload pics,for new users..

A new feather in the cap…

A new addition to the long standing list of various out of the box stuff  being promoted,by this blog is,Bhuvan(developed by ISRO ).Simply put,its India’s answer to the Google Earth,it does exactly what Google earth is capable,of but the best part is that Bhuvan,is specific with respect to India,and hence can pinpoint,even a small,village,ala,Rudraram,upto 10m,where as Google Earth does it for around 200m!!

Bhuvan is capable of providing, imagery  upto 10m,for most of the major metro’s in India,in contrast Google earth ,restricts itself to about 200m.

Nevertheless ,its still in its Beta avatar,launched on August 12,2009,it can seriously do with some promotion,as its one hell of a wonder for an Indian organisation to collide head on with a private company,i aren't saying Google earth is bad,its just that bhuvan is obviously gotta be much better in its final form with the halo of ISRO,than in its Beta form.
