HAUNTED STORIES:
The title can’t be any more apt,for various incidents which deal with loads of supernatural beings ( or is it souls ?),hostels world over have always been a favourite place for various rumours which revolve around ghosts,and this wasn’t unexpected when it happened in the Boys Hostel of GITAM University Hyderabad Campus.,last month.
THE PREVIOUS MONTH:
The previous month,saw the slow birth of ghosts stories,and slowly as time passed ,the stories started getting stronger by the day,and more characters started to appear,the regular ghost masala like bells ringing ,and the feeling of being stalked at a later stage,normally rumors start from these basic things including the strange irke feeling of a person breathing around you,or a sudden heavy weight being thrusted upon you.
But,The Ghosts of Rudraram,had a strong past,and it wasn’t the first time ,After a little of research in Rudraram,it relived that the haunted sotires weren’t new in town(We aren’t surprised,Even ghosts hate the polluted-urban lifestyle :P),and the story is as old as two years,the story also deals with a couple of murders,and the de facto of any ghost story,a rape followed by brutal murder close to/on the hostel property.
Now,with all theses there is also an uncensored interview of various students and a security guard(the security guard refused to put it on record,so we re constructed the story),all these will be slowly published,as of now,along with this post,we officially launch the Haunted Stories-By LAGH(More on it later).
INCIDENTS:
In this part of the post,we will cover a couple of incidents,and will subsequently follow it up,with as many posts with enough validity till the launch of the documentary /short film ,which will be a compilation of all the incidents,and LAGH ,nor The production house Flying Fisherman ,present or inhibit their views into the documentary,excepted when explicitly stated so.(In simple terms:The content is presented on an “as is” basics,and not subjected to any “masala”,and the views of the persons who give the interviews is strictly their owns,and LAGH nor Flying Fisherman,bear any morale responsibility ).
Done,with the red tape around this segment,now we move on to the incidents:
On a particular night(actually early hours in the morning about 2:00’odd),in the first week of September(date censored),a students was sitting on the steps of the Boys Hostel,and casually chatting away in on his mobile, while the hostel inmates,were busy building castles in their dreams.
The weather,and the surroundings were by sheer coincidence,were set perfectly for a nice little romantic pep talk,and the person in question was doing just the same.
The most unexpected thing he would expect is the presence of super natural beings,this guy is currently the first person on record to have experienced such a thing in the hostel.,But as far as our knowledge is concerned the first person is a particular security guard(who doesn’t wish to be named).
As the time passed,the student on the phone,saw sudden flashes which ,were moving at a quick space(the flash was in the shape of a vague person),and then vanished into thin air,all in the matter of seconds,which changed quite a lot of things on the campus.,and this real time experience gave confidence to various other students,who under went through such incidents,but were never free to share their views/experiences,close to 80% of these are built around the regular filmi stories,but the rest 20% are worth giving a second thought,due to the nature of the incident and also the person in question,if an experience is shared by a shady guy(who is always making up stories ),doesn't hold any water,but the views/experience of a person who is fair and frank,hold enough ground to take his view into consideration.
The Third Floor:
The third floor,is usually the place where the signal strength is good,and provides loads of privacy for all the committed guys,and has been a host spot zone for the chatter boxes,of the boys hostel,who are numbered at about 20-30 who,usually visit the third floor once the clock strikes 11 and the call rates of airtel(One of the popular networks in India ), drops drastically to 1 rupee for 20 mins,we believe.
This also holds true for the girls hostel,who use their second floor,as the boys use their third floor.
This was the situation,prior to the outbreak of ghastly haunting experiences,once a couple of incidents came out ,which popped up the debate on whether the third floor plays host to unholy spirits,the floors(Boys third floor/Girls second floor),were instantly deserted,except for a couple of brave hearts,who dare to use the third floor for privacy.
The various incidents of the third floor are comprehended,some will look very similar to other regular ghosts stories,and some are exclusive to the GITAM Hostels :P.
- ghungru noise.
- A woman(obviously dressed in white ) calling .
- A feeling of being stalked.
- Hallucinations.
- Threats to vacate the hostels.
- Heavy breathing behind us.
- Sudden gush of wind which lasts for a split second,which looks more like a warning than a casual windy movement.
- phantasmagorical(It is fucking difficult to pronounce it,but no other word slots in better) feelings.
- Unidentified quick movements.
- This list will go on,if we don’t stop here.
Note:The above have been experienced,by various students,who are independent that is oblivious of the experiences happening to other,it was only when we stepped in that they realized that,they aren’t alone in this adventure (:P).
In short,theses incidents are true with respect to the students who experienced these views,We are but only mediators,compiling all the incidents.
With such a list,which isn’t exhaustive combined with loads of other rumored incidents,of a person being pushed ,or another one tripping with no mistake of his,makes things more difficult,and other superstitious things like :
- Leaving rooms unoccupied for a long period of time,which apparently invites supernatural beings,to make themselves comfy.
- The hostel is located close to murder/rape sites,and hence more chances of ghastly presence.
- The village itself believes in the ghosts,strongly since the last two years.
This,makes the cases of the concern of students,more complicated.
The Past:
A quick take on the two year old stand alone murder,and the separate case where a contractor is rumored to have raped and hanged(or murdered),the victim on a tree in the hostel campus.(previously unoccupied land ),Since the story is two year old,most parts of the it might have been tampered with an it would be very biased on our part not to chip off the various parts of the sotires,which look beyond belief.
The bottom line of the past: The victim who was hanged ,claims the hostel land ot be her property,and demands its back.
The Woman:
The woman,has got loads of demands,and is rumored to be present 24x7 in the hostel,and regularly visits the security room.
She also developed a schedule ,which looks more akin to protecting the campus,she has been the talk of the hostel for quite a long time,her activities are numerous and the best part is this Female has got a split personality as well,or so we understand,and present at numerous points at the same time.
Well,this crap will go on as long as possible,most of the post is filled up with rumors,which are weaved around incidents which are again rumored to be true.
THE DOCUMENTARY:
So,where does all this crap talk lead to ?
Well,LAGH has decided that it is high time to up its ante,and come up with on view on the haunted sotires,we would love to support the view that ghosts don’t exists ,but if they do,they will be offended at the stand taken by LAGH, but if they do exists,they would probably be offended by the view taken by LAGH ,and probably haunt our blog,So,we decided to be unbiased,and keep a neutral point of view,which won’t case irke to the ghosts,nor cause fury in our readers,who don’t believe in such childish stuff.
